課堂經歷
Like interactive show and tell for video games! Learners are encouraged to play video games while chatting and sharing with other gamers. Games do not need to be co-op (cooperative) nor multiplayer. Gamers can play games of their choice during class on any platform: console, PC, mobile, etc. Each week during class time learners may: * Share a general weekly update * Talk about what they're playing now * Share game play or screen shots * Play solo, cooperatively, or competitively with other learners * Share best practices, tips, tricks, and questions * Participate in friendly student-led banter * Practice good listening and interaction skills * Practice teamwork, and good sportsmanship Classes will be very loosely structured, allowing learners to share and lead the conversation. This class may use breakout rooms to allow learners to co-op play with others or chat about certain games in smaller groups. The teacher will alternate among rooms to moderate and keep on track. Learners may also want to share personal information such as server codes or IP address in order to co-op play. Please talk to your learner about cyber security and what should or should not be shared during class. While learners are welcome to play games during class, they will need to be also listening and interacting with others. Game sounds will need to be turned down, or learners muted while not sharing to allow others to share without interruptions. Games that are shared will need to be age-appropriate, and screenshots and screen shares should only feature games that do not contain gore, excessive blood, inappropriate language, and/or nudity. Games that are shared in class should not be rated above E, E10+ or Teen. ** Please note that this class may contain spoilers as learners will be in different stages of game play. **
學習目標

Games that are shared will need to be age-appropriate, and screenshots and screen shares should only feature games that do not contain gore, horror content, jump scares, excessive blood, inappropriate language, drug use, and/or nudity. Parents should review these guidelines with their learners when deciding which games to share in class. Video games have a rating system, and it is easy to do a quick web search to find out what may be objectionable about particular games. Generally speaking, games shared should be rated E, E10+, or Teen. Please keep in mind the age range and possible sensitivities of other learners when deciding what to share in class.

教師專業知識和證書
I have been gaming since 1986, starting with Boulderdash on the Commodore 64. My husband loves all the game types that I don't, so I have exposure to a wide variety of games and platforms. I have several other gaming classes, and I love to talk games with the next generation!
