課堂經歷

Students will learn the fundamentals to hitting a baseball and have the ability to practice. This course will start from the ground up and explain the process of hitting a baseball and developing a great baseball swing.

Specific Topics on the Fundamentals to Hitting a Baseball.
1. We start with a ground up approach
2. Position of the feet at the plate
3. The distribution of weight
4. The step in the approach to the pitch coming
5. As part of the load with the pitch on the way the hips
6. The position of the hands on the bat
7. Arms and the load
8. The head and eyes as the pitch is coming to the plate
9. An A to B Swing (like chopping wood with an axe) to create the backspin on the ball
10. Keeping the hands inside the baseball
11. Hands inside the angle of the bat in driving the pitch to a part of the field in relation to on the plate (inside pitch, hitting up the middle, and hitting the other way)
12. When the bat meets the ball the physics of the hips and creating power (driving the baseball)
13. The importance of the wrists in the swing for after the bat makes contact
14. The follow through of the swing
Learners should be in sports clothing, in a space where they can swing a baseball bat (yard and/or etc.), and a baseball bat. It is not required, but our aspiring baseball player has a tee and net-structure to hit wiffle balls, tennis balls, or baseballs safety than that would be an awesome set up for our lesson. I will be using a bat, home plate, tee, net, and wiffle balls to demonstrate, explain, model, and show the process of a baseball swing. The only thing that is required for this course is a bat and safe place to swing the bat that will not cause an unsafe situation to others or property.
學習者無需使用標準 Outschool 工具以外的任何應用程式或網站。
Parental Guidance and taking part with the lesson is encourage - this age group can be good if they have prior experience playing baseball. If they are new to baseball, having a parent or adult to assist the student in hitting may be needed. Students should warmed up and perform stretching before class. It is important that students have a space (outside or in a garage) where the student can swing the bat and not create an unsafe situation for themselves, others, and property. Wearing a helmet, having a tee, net, and wiffle ball to hit into the net would be great - BUT NOT REQUIRED! The requirement for this course is for a student to have a space to swing the bat safely, and I can watch the swing to provide feedback. If students are new to baseball there is potential for injury. Parental guidance is requested.
