Mixing a combination of upbeat and relaxing music, we work through the different muscle groups to build stronger and healthier bodies! We begin each class with a quick warm-up to increase the heart-rate/blood flow to warm the body. From there, we utilize dynamic stretches to lengthen and elongate the muscles while incorporating strengthening techniques. I have been studying dance for 25 years and am a certified personal trainer and dancer teacher. Keeping our bodies agile and moving is so vital for growing youth. As we spend more time sedentary at a computer or couch, we are finding it harder and harder to live an active lifestyle. It's not always easy to get up and workout on your own, and I love the comradery when a group comes together with a similar goal of being active!

For those that have increased flexibility, they may desire to have a yoga block, small stool and/or resistance band for advanced modifications. Additionally, I encourage learners to wear appropriate layers. A light sweater at the beginning of class helps warm the body faster and as the class progress it can easily be removed if they become too hot.
