By learning through both explicit instruction and games, students will build a true understanding of words that will help them maintain strong, reliable, and lasting reading comprehension skills. Students will improve their English speaking skills, reading comprehension, and test taking skills by mastering advanced-level academic vocabulary terms. Students will become confident in their ability to read and understand grade-level words though interactive games.

The Kahoot application is a free app that can be downloaded to any device. You can also access the program by utilizing the Kahoot website for free. You do not need to make an account before class. I will provide students with the game code prior to the game starting. A google slides presentation will be shared via the screen-share option on zoom and will not require a username of any kind.
