課堂經歷
In this one-time dance class, learners will jump and move to the music from Scotland's Highlands. Fans of the fierce princess Merida will be introduced to the traditional dance style seen in Brave. We will begin the class with a brief introduction to the history of Highland dance, followed by stretching and a fun warm up to prepare our bodies to dance. Then we will begin learning some simple Highland Dance steps. We will conclude the class by performing our dance together as a group, followed by a brief cool down. I believe in fostering an environment of positivity and community. All ability levels are welcome and no prior dance experience is needed.

Learners will be able to perform simple Highland Dance choreography.

Dancers will need a safe place to move, free of any tripping hazards, a water bottle, and flexible shoes (tennis shoes work well). Safety is my first priority so supervision is encouraged as needed. Dance at your own risk.

I have studied a variety of dance styles since I was very young including Irish and Scottish dance. I have also taught dance lessons to children ages 3-13 for several years. I love embracing my heritage and sharing it with the Outschool community through dance.
