Irish dance is a fun and high-energy dance style! Each week, dancers will participate in a variety of Irish dance activities. We will start each class with stretching and a warm up. Then, we will discuss the foundations of good technique followed by learning a new combination of Irish Dance steps. Toward the end of class, dancers will perform the newly learned choreography as a group. We will conclude each class with a calming cool down. Each class stands on its own and learners are welcome...
Learners will develop the ability to perform basic Irish Dance steps.
I have been dancing since I was very young and have several years experience dancing and teaching Irish Dance lessons.
Flexible shoes and clothing are recommended to allow for a good range of movement. Please ensure that dancers have a space to dance that is free of any tripping hazards. Dancers are encouraged to have a water bottle nearby. This class will include a warm up and cool down, but dancers are encouraged to add additional stretching if necessary. Dance at your own risk
