This class is designed as an introduction to Irish dance for young dancers. We will stretch and warm up to get ourselves ready to move. Then we learn some simple Irish dance steps and work together to create a dance with a combination of choreography and creative movement. We will "perform" our dance as a group and learn how to take an Irish dance bow. Our class will end with a brief cool down after all of the jumping and movement, to calm our bodies and our minds. I have trained in many dance styles since I was very young and I have been teaching dance to children ages 3-13, since 2008.
Dancers should wear comfortable clothes and shoes and have a small area free of any tripping hazards to dance in. Water is recommended and dancers may drink whenever they need to.
