We first will begin discussing yarns and needles. What the numbers mean, what the labels tell you , deciding on which needle (hook) to use,how to hold your work, how to begin a project , and how to begin understanding the crochet terminology. Then we will begin practicing stitches. The first stitch you will learn is the chain stitch. Then, as time allows you will learn single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet stitches. Learners become familiar with terminology, Learners gain understanding of hooks and yarn styles, Lear.ers begin practicng basic chain stitch After the chain stitch, we will begin other stitches. The order will go: single crochet, slip stitch, half double crochet and more ( the amount of stitches you learn depends on how well the previous stitch is understood and skillfully executed. This takes time and likely will need practice).
I learned to crochet at a really young age and have always enjoyed it! I am self taught and have really enjoyed watching YouTube videos of different techniques. I've crocheted for around 15 years now.

You'll need: Yarn (red heart or I love this yarn) size 4 medium/yarn type acrylic A hook size I, J, or K crochet hooks is recommended. Scissors

Student must have their camera on and work visible to be monitored. I am left handed. Please bring size J or K needles and yarn to work with. ( the bigger the needle the easier it is to first practice, because when you first st a rt you tend to crochet really tightly.
