Welcome to Arts & Crafts Club! ⭐️Little artists will be able to bring out their creativity in this ongoing arts and crafts class! ⭐️Arts and crafts are inspired by seasons, nature, holiday's and books. Each class will include a craft with a book, activity or picture that is related to the craft! I try to use common materials you may have around your house, such as construction paper, paint, markers, crayons, chalk, play dough, cotton balls, tissue paper, etc. See supply list below for each craft. ⭐️Learners will practice fine motor skills, creativity, social skills, work with a variety of materials, learn textures, layering, shading, blending, different types of art tools, all while having fun creating their artwork! I encourage each learner to use the colors they like, add additional materials and use their imagination and creativity to make their craft their own! ⭐️ While making our crafts, we talk about the colors, art materials we are using, what we like about the craft, art techniques, inspiration, creativity, different seasons, and more! Class will end with students having the option to hold up their art for everyone to see! ⭐️Optional art packet related to the craft will be added to the classroom after each class! Week of Sept 9: Watercolor Octopus 🐙 Week of Sept 16: Draw & Paint Rabbit🐰 Week of Sept 23: Fall Birch Trees 🍂 Week of Sept 30: Watermelons 🍉 No Monday class on the 30th. Week of Oct 7: Hamburger 🍔 Week of Oct 14: Multi-Media Hedgehog 🦔 Week of Oct 21: Pumpkin Person 🎃 Week of Oct 28: Friendly Ghost 👻 More crafts for November will be added soon! Some classes may go over by 5 minutes so that each artist can add their finishing details and creativity to their artwork! Feel free to have your artists say goodbye if they need to leave! • How to work with different materials and art tools used in art.
• How to blend colors together and use of different shading.
• Creating texture through various art materials such as tissue paper and salt.
• Practice fine motor skills.
• Engage in social skills by showing their art tools, talking about ideas and showing their art to their friends.
• Learn about famous artists and their work.
• Bring their creativity, imagination and ideas to their art.

Please assist your child with using small craft items, scissors, glue, paint and other materials. It is also helpful to have wipes, paper towel and an art smock/old shirt when using paint.
