課堂經歷
In this fun and social, one-time class, students will color and chat about the holiday season! Students may bring their favorite winter/Christmas holiday themed coloring books, paper for drawing and optional coloring sheets that I will send before class. Students will practice their social skills while coloring and talking with one another and discussing their favorite things about winter and the holiday season. I will lead the students in taking turns talking and will introduce topics like: • Favorite Christmas / holiday cookies • Snowmen • Reindeer • Favorite holidays meals • The cold weather, snow • Funny memories • Lights and decorations • Christmas trees • Gifts & giving • Hot cocoa & other favorite winter treats We will color, chat and make new friends! In this class we will not discuss religion or topics other than traditional Christmas holiday elements listed above. We will color together and have fun. 🎄This will be a fun, festive color and chat class so students are welcome to wear their Christmas PJ's, Santa hats or silly Christmas sweaters. 🎄Students may bring their favorite winter themed item (ex. favorite ornament, snow globe, favorite holiday craft, Christmas cookie they made, etc.) for optional show and tell. They may talk about their item and answer questions the others might have about it. At the end of class everyone can share their art work then we will say goodbye. All students are WELCOME! Hello! I love being an Outschool teacher and look forward to every class! I am here to serve you and your student and it is my goal to make learning fun!
I have several years of experience teaching pre-k and kindergarten readiness, phonics, phonemic and phonological awareness, reading, English, Language Arts and more. I also have over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring and have classroom experience from preschool through 12th grade, all subjects and all learning levels in public, private and homeschool settings. I have experience as a homeschool co-op teacher and mom as well. I absolutely love teaching.
Here are some of my qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in English/Language Arts
- Over 20 years of full-time classroom experience
- 4 years of online teaching and tutoring experience
- Experience teaching and tutoring neurodivergent students
- Current 120 hour TESOL certification / ESL teaching experience
I believe that learning should be fun, engaging, creative and rewarding. I love to encourage my students and cheer them on throughout their learning journeys. In addition to fun, interactive group classes, I offer personalized, one on one tutoring.
My classes are EST (Eastern Standard Time) in the U.S. I offer classes ranging from 6am to 9pm EST in an effort to serve learners in a variety of locations.
