This ESL friendly class meets weekly to learn about about and discuss animals and their habitats. At each meeting we will learn about a particular region, country or habitat and talk about roughly 4-5 animals including animal classification, fun animal facts and some information about the places and environments they live in. The class will run for a total of 14 sessions and then repeat but students can drop in and out of the sessions as they like. Additional session topics may be added on student special request!

The class is designed to be an inclusive space so that kids can get to know each other as well as learn some amazing animals facts along the way and practice their conversation and listening skills with one another. I will call on students during the class but there is no requirement to speak. New learners welcome at any time and students are encouraged to share their own knowledge or experiences with the class. 

We will cover rainforest habitats and the animals of the Amazon; ocean Animals and animals that live in different levels of the oceans; animals from the African savanna; forest animals of the USA; arctic animals; world's stinkiest animals; weird and wild Australian Animals that may or may not want to kill you; and more... The class will start with some time to warm up with each student invited to share some news then we will move onto the lesson which will combine images, short videos, audio clips, and discussion points.
