Beginner - Advanced Level

This course is a self paced 5th grade math course. This course covers many mathematical concepts such as:  factors and multiples, multiplication and division, understanding fractions and decimals, ratios and percentages, pre-algebra concepts just to name a few of the topics which will be covered in this course. We will be using videos/reading materials to cover these topics. Topics covered depending on the grade level: place value, estimation, multiplication, division, adding and subtracting fractions just to name a few.

The goal is for the student to become familiar with the topics covered in the 5th grade math.

Numbers and Number Sense

 This chapter consists of 7 lessons; video/reading material; a quiz after every lesson and a chapter test at the end of the chapter.

Lesson 2:

Integres and Whole Numbers

 This chapter consists of 9 lessons; videos/reading material; a quiz of each lesson and a chapter quiz at the end of the chapter.

Lesson 3:

Factors and Multiples

 This chapter consists of 4 lessons; videos/reading material; a quiz of each lesson and a chapter quiz at the end of the chapter.

Lesson 4:

Multiplication and Division

 This chapter consists of 14 lessons; videos/reading material; a quiz of each lesson and a chapter quiz at the end of the chapter.

I have over 20 years of teaching experience. I have taught grades K-College level. I taught grades K-6 every subject including Bible and Art and grades 6-College English Language Arts. I've been an online tutor for Social Studies, Writing, ELA, and Science grades 6- College level. I was an Intervention Specialist for grades K-2, 1-5 ESOL and 6-8. I taught ESOL for several years as well. I have been on countless committees such as: Writing Rubric, Social Studies, Writing, Discipline Committee, National Junior Honor Society Advisor, Admissions Chair. I have a master's degree in education along with 80 credits above my master's degree. I come with extensive experience in education and look forward to being your child's teacher. I taught Bible for a group of students for my oldest son's class for about 8 years on a voluntary basis on the weekends.
