In this 1:1 math tutoring class for elementary age children, we will focus mostly on skills from grades 3-6. Students will explore essential math concepts aligned with State Standards for mathematics. A few of the skills we will work on include, operations and algebraic thinking, numbers and operations in base ten, fractions, measurement and data, and geometry. 1. Notebook and Pencils - A dedicated math notebook and plenty of pencils for taking notes and working through problems. 2. Calculator- A basic calculator for performing more complex calculations as needed. Nothing higher than a TIO-30X IIS Scientific Calculator should be required 3. Graph Paper - Useful for plotting graphs, drawing shapes, and working on geometry problems. 4. Ruler and Protractor - Essential tools for measuring and learning about angles and geometric figures.
