The curriculum focuses on essential reading strategies and includes: -Identifying the main idea -Using context clues to understand unfamiliar words -Recognizing supporting details -Making inferences -Theme -Character Traits -Figurative Language -Comparing and Contrasting Our motto is - 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦 and after each class your child will receive an additional worksheet to practice the skill we covered. We want to be your learning partner and we value parent/teacher communication. We provide frequent feedback based on our observations in class. Craft and Structure: CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.4.4 Determine the meaning of words and phrases as they are used in a text, including those that allude to significant characters found in mythology (e.g., Herculean).
