Students will embark on an exciting exploration of various topics, including the diverse biomes found around the world, the principles of forces and motion, the fascinating array of land features across the globe, and fundamental chemistry concepts such as solutions, mixtures, and the states of matter. Each concept will be presented at an introductory level, with ample opportunities for enrichment and engagement by drawing upon real-life experiences.

As a dedicated teacher with twelve years of experience teaching middle school science from 6th to 8th grade and elementary science, in addition to over 5 years as an Outschool Educator, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the classroom. With a science teaching license spanning k-5 Elementary subjects, grades 6 to 12 and a Master's degree in Science Education, I am passionate about making learning meaningful by connecting it to real-world experiences. My teaching approach focuses on facilitating connections between students and the material, making it easier to grasp and retain. I employ a review pattern that starts with foundational concepts and gradually progresses to more complex information, ensuring thorough understanding and long-term retention among students.

Students will be able to, at the end of each unit, complete a digital break out room and complete a quiz for each topic to support academic mastery. Scores are available at completion of each activity.

Students will gain resources from the teacher, as well as use Kahoot for review, Google for Breakout rooms, Science World and SuperSTEM Digital Magazine, and Google Forms for assessment. Any labs that require supplies will be provided in the week's activity.
