수업 소개

영어 수준 - 알 수 없음
미국 8학년 - 11학년 학년
This course will be a fast-paced examination of topics in physical science, chemistry, biology and ecology. For topics that need background information or had foundations in earlier classes, I will briefly explain the information with the topic. The material will be drawn from Hewitt Physical Science, Zumdahl Chemistry, Campbell Biology, Lutgens Earth Science and Giancoli Physics textbooks and other sources. Access to these textbooks is not required, but recommended.

This class was designed to help prepare those who would like to enter the National Science Bowl or related competitions. It would also be useful as a general science curriculum for homeschoolers or those seeking afterschool enrichment for high school or honors science.

I will present the information in PowerPoint format, allow time for questions and discussion and end the class with an online quiz game.

This schedule is subject to change and will be updated as needed.

I am a scientist turned stay at home mom. While getting my Master's degree in Biochemistry, I taught General Biology lab and an Introduction to Molecular Biology Research lab to undergraduates. I have worked as a medical laboratory technician in a hospital and as a biochemist in drug discovery and early phase clinical trials within the pharmaceutical industry. I left that role to stay at home and homeschool my 2e son. Since he was a different learner, we explored all ways of learning and trying to make it fun.
I began teaching online by teaching English to kids in China. I enjoyed it, but Outschool allows me to go back to my scientific roots and share it with others. I hope to design and deliver classes that will share my knowledge from working as a scientist and get learners as interested and excited about science as I am.
