In this class, students will learn about severe weather systems throughout four weeks, and participate in a series of activities to engage their learning, while also promoting interaction in the classroom. Each week, students will view an instructional video that will be posted on Monday of that week. Students will then participate in daily discussion board posts, responding to questions posed by the teacher, and have weekly activities to do. Every Friday, students will complete a digital...
Students will learn facts and safety tips about different major storms including hurricanes/cyclones/typhoons (and why there are many names for the same type of storm), tornadoes, thunderstorms, blizzards, and droughts. Students will learn what causes each storm from weather, as well as the impact they have on people and homes.
I am a 5th grade teacher, and have taught middle school science for 8 years from 6-8th grade. I am licensed as a science teacher from 6-12 grade, with a Masters in Science Education. I like making learning relate to real world experiences so students can connect to material easier than standard memorization. I review in a flow pattern that starts with basic information and expands into complex information to assist students with retention.

Students will complete a break out room each week, requiring information from the week's instructional video. Completion of the break out room will demonstrate mastery of each week's content. In addition, students will have weekly access to kahoot quiz to demonstrate mastery. Scores will be sent weekly to students and parents for academic records.제공되는 성적
Students will be provided hand-outs for notes to keep for their possession each week, along with printable resources for activities. Students will also need a pencil to complete activities.

In this class, severe storms will be discussed, including severe storm names and damage they may cause. Students will not be exposed to sensitive videos, but parents should be aware that storms such as Katrina, Hugo, and other major storms will be discussed, as well as tornadoes.Students will participate in virtual activities found on Kahoot , which also hosts other quizzes. These may be parental sensitive, but are not related to this course or teacher.
Students will be given weekly links to ahoot quizzes, break out rooms, and other resources created by the teacher (all worksheets for this class are created by the teacher directly).
