"What topics will I cover?" I will learn about YOUR child and find out their interests so that I can integrate that into their education of learning English-that's the beauty of one-on-one lessons! I get to tailor-make the class, design it just for YOUR child and this makes me so excited (can you tell?!) I also will see if they need more concentration on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, speaking in a conversation using proper grammar, reading, writing, and then if necessary, I'll spend more time on that particular thing, though I will teach all..

This is an English as a second language course. In this class we will cover conversational English. This class will be an individual lesson teaching basic English or more advanced English per the child's level with an emphasis on pronunciation and student talk time. We will learn English through speaking, practicing pronunciation, drawing, singing, and more. 

We'll start class learning to say "hi" and introduce ourselves. We will discuss how we feel and what we did that day as well as questions such as what we ate that day to encourage free talk and using complete sentences using proper grammar. For those who don't know enough to speak in complete sentences, we will learn basic English words.

Outside props will be used such as Dr. Seuss flashcards, stuffed toys and more to keep the lessons fun and interesting. Flashcards teaching math, colors and shapes may be used on occasion. After learning new vocabulary, we'll use the new words in conversation. Students will have opportunities to ask and answer questions as they learn to engage in English conversation with the instructor.  

I sometimes create Kahoot (an approved outside platform) quizzes to help the student learn in a fun way. There is no need for the parent to have an account, nor does the student ever log in without me.  

Finding the positive in every child will be the top priority. A combination of fun and education are the goals.
