민속춤이 얼마나 아름다운가 - Que Bonito es Baile de Folklorico

I would like to begin our meeting with a brief introduction of all involved.  I am a "positive reinforcement" teacher.  I love giving those compliments.  I encourage and involve each of the students and offer times, as well as encourage, questions.  

First of all, ensure that there is ample space to move.  We will be moving through the floor and will need more than wingspan spacing. Also, make sure The class begins with a complete body warm-up and stretch routine.  We will then begin learning footwork steps and upper body movement.  I will be playing music from different regions of Mexico to primarily introduce the variety of music from the country.  

Each class begins with a warm-up consisting of full stretches. This is followed by rhythmic warm-ups--stomping (percussive zapateado/footwork), arm movement (preparing for skirt work), and aerobic movement. Consider each week to be a development of skills based off a few dance drills of repetition to ensure the children are increasing & advancing their rhythmic capability and talent.  Such skills will be single stomps, double stomps, double-one (re-ma-te), then apply to music, followed by including skirt movement, followed by including in a rhythmic pattern to create a dance footwork combination.  

After teaching several technique sequences, I will begin teaching combinations to a particular State of Mexico.  I will also provide visual examples of regional attire /"traje tipico".  We will have a large portion of a dance learned by class end, if not a complete routine for that particular State.   

I am an instructor able to adjust to the audience that is registered.  If the class is able to be advanced through the course, I will definitely consider challenging the students with additional combinations.  

A cool-down and stretch will be conducted.
