Welcome! This class will focus on the white belt curriculum of Tae Kwon Do. Classes meet for 8 weeks, 3x a week. Students will learn kicks, punches, stances and forms (poomsae) for their belt level. At the end of the course, students will be tested on what they have learned. Upon passing the test, students will have progressed onto the next belt level. Curriculum content: Tenets of Tae Kwon Do Basic kicks Basic stances Basic hand techniques Combination kicks Form (poomsae) Korean terms Breaking technique Testing Belt Progression: White belt Yellow belt Orange belt Green belt Purple belt Light-Blue belt Dark-Blue belt Brown belt Red belt High-Red belt Deputy Black belt Black belt

An area large enough for the student to perform stretches/kicking and moving around without any tripping hazards or breakable objects nearby will be needed.

I will email a curriculum guide on the first day of class. The guide will outline everything each student needs to know for their belt level. Additionally, a white v-neck Tae Kwon Do uniform (with a white collar) and a white belt are also required.
