I am offering this class because movement is what I have dedicated my life to. Capoeira is a family practice and discipline, and I have been teaching various movement arts for over 10 years. I am also proficient because I am at an Internationally high level of skill within the art of Tricking and Capoeira.

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that prioritizes its own cultural values as well as afro-liberation. Representation and history is huge in Capoeira, so references of Capoeira’s past is included. Capoeira was conceived during times of slavery in Brazil and those stories are embedded into Capoeira’s history. Also, we will go upside down sometimes to do handstands, or be spinning to do kicks. It’s important that learners have enough space (8x8 minimum) to practice and train.
