The students will learn the OREO method to write an opinion essay. I will explain the method to them, and then brainstorm some opinions, using "Would You Rather" type questions, using Kahoot! We will look at a written opinion essay written in an OREO style and find how it follows the pattern. Then, we will write a class opinion outline together. I have been teaching a writing class for 3 years, along with 20+ years in education where I'm teaching writing as a part of the curriculum. I hope to use this fun outline form to help students see how easy it is to write opinion essays.

However, they will need to be able to split the screen so they can see both my screen on Zoom/Outschool and the Kahoot! address that I give. I will upload an OREO outline in pdf that they can print and have ready to go. If no printer is available, they can easily write it out on a piece of plain paper.
