Jump into summer with a fun sunflower poem & project! We will enjoy the sunflower poem together, finding the rhyming words and reading it together. The students have the option of memorizing this easy-to-recite poem on their own. Then we will make a sunflower of our own with materials we have around the house. If you don't have everything needed for the craft, we can easily substitute some of the items.

Students will need: (substitutions in the parentheses) white paper plate (underside of any paper plate or white paper) yellow/orange/brown markers sunflower seeds! (brown marker) glue scissors (optional)

Hello! I am excited to be your child's teacher.
I love to teach in any capacity: especially reading, writing and grammar classes.
Teaching is my passion! I have been teaching for 23 years everything from early childhood to college & adults. Not only have I taught in elementary schools, but I have been homeschooling my children for the past 12 years and working in several homeschool coops as well. For my career, I teach English as a Second Language to adults.
I am very familiar with the ins and outs of the English language, from the basics of phonics & reading to college writing, and everything in between! (Like past participles 😄) My philosophy of education is that every child can learn! I would love to work with your child and help them succeed!
