Each class will focus on a book from the Magic Treehouse book series by Mary Pope Osborne. We will discuss the novel in a book club setting by sharing our favorite parts, talking about Annie's and Jack's adventures, what we liked or didn't like, discussing what we learned, the characters, etc. The children will also complete an activity each week. This could be a castle drawing, making a short comic strip, writing a mini book about the Amazon or drawing yourself as a pirate(the complete list...
Learners will discuss the Magic Treehouse books within a Book Club setting. Learners will talk about the books in a supportive and fun environment and will get to share what they liked, didn't like, the events of the story, their non-fiction learning, etc. They will complete an individual Writing and/ or Art activity for each book. They will learn terms like characters, setting, plot, climax, facts, fiction, etc., while doing engaging activities.

A handout for each class will be posted in the classroom prior to class. Learners should have coloring materials, scissors and a glue stick for each class. Not all materials will be used each week.
