This course is a survey of the significant political, economic, social, cultural, and diplomatic developments in American history from the first civilizations through the mid-1800s. I have over fifteen years of experience working with and teaching middle and high school students. I have a bachelor's degree in both History and Economics. My focus while undertaking my degree in History was United States History. My master's degree is in Higher Education. I also have a Juris Doctorate degree in Law. Most importantly, I have a passion for teaching, history in particular!

Resources from the Library of Congress Native American Collection and the National Museum of the American Indian will be used during our unit on the First Civilizations as well as throughout the course. This includes maps, images, recordings, first-hand accounts and documents.
