This class is an ongoing class, and we will cyclically work through 4 different outlines to help improve 4 areas of writing.

1) Book Report
2) Opinion Essay
3) Summary
4) Persuasive Essay

Each week, I will present the outlines and explain how to use them. A pdf copy of each outline will be provided before class for them to print and use during class. Also, a writing skill will be taught each week (mechanics, sentence structure, use of adjectives & adverbs, banned words like nice or pretty, etc). Learners will also have the opportunity to read their essays from the week before (completely optional). Students will have a chance to work on their outlines in class and can write from them over the week. 

We will also interact with each other each week depending on the type of writing we are learning. For example, we can share about the books we are reading for the book reports, play a Would You Rather Kahoot! for the opinion essay, etc. 

Although we will go over the 4 same essay writing types cyclically, each class will be different, as it is an ongoing class. Students are able to come and go as needed.
