NOTE: Recordings will be anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hr 30 minutes, depending on the content for that week. In the last week, the videos might be less lengthy since we've covered a lot by then. Students will also need to print out their pages at home to follow with me in the video. There are about 25-30 pages to print out each week If students don’t have access to a printer there will be a digital PDF version for students to download and they may use Kami or any other program that allows them to write their answers on. I will guide the students through a recorded video on the entire journal to ensure that students know how to solve the problems. Students will have the opportunity to pause and play the video as we are going through the lesson. Once done with the guided journal they will have an opportunity to work on Quizizz where they will reinforce what they learned. In this class, I will teach students how to create their own interactive grammar journals that they can use for future references. We will cover all taught objectives of first grade and ensure that students understand each lesson as the weeks go by. I love this journal because it is extremely interactive and students will enjoy doing all the activities that they're supposed to do in the journal. Students will also interact through "Quizizz" and we will play interactive games to help the student improve his/her knowledge lesson skills. It is very important that students learn all grammar concepts in a fun and interactive way and that is exactly what learners will be doing in this class. ***This is a flex course which means that we do not meet live, but there will still be interaction as students will interact with all their classmates through the discussions, videos that we will get to watch from each other when building a certain section, and responding to each other in discussions. Topics in the interactive journal are as followed: Week 1: Relative Pronouns, Progressive Verb Tenses, Modal Auxiliaries, Order Adjectives Week 2: Prepositional Phrases, Fragments and Run-ons, Confusing Words, Capitalization Week 3: Commas and Quotation Marks, Commas and Coordinating Conjunctions Spelling, Choosing Words and Phrases Week 4: Choosing Punctuation, Formal and Informal English, Word Meaning, Greek and Latin Affixes Week 5: Consult Reference Materials, Similes and Metaphors, Idioms Week 6: Adages and Proverbs, Antonyms and Synonyms, Domain-specific words Everyone always assumes that grammar is complicated but it doesn't have to be. Dazzling Minds Academy, founded by Erika Corona, offers a variety of fun escape rooms and fun math classes. Dazzling Minds Academy specializes in escape rooms and math classes where students will use their critical thinking skills in both math and decoding ciphers to ensure that students learn while having fun.
Up to now, Dazzling Minds Academy, has served over 6,900 students in both live and flex classes. Our flex classes offers prerecorded instruction where each child can follow along with Teacher Erika to ensure that every objective is fully understood. Our live classes are filled with fun mysteries decoding ciphers and fun technology use such as Kahoot.
Dazzling Minds Academy offers all types of classes; Flex, One-Time, Ongoing and Multiday to ensure that parents choose the best option for their child.
All courses are designed by Teacher Erika and taught by highly qualified teachers that are excited to teach and ensure that every child has fun while learning.
Dazzling Minds Academy vision is to ensure that every child learns by having fun. Our escape rooms are fun, yet challenging and our math classes are carefully prepared to ensure each child learns the objective. We offer over 60 flex classes of Math, Writing, Grammar full curriculum PDF journals as well as fun classes with decoding ciphers
