I help Homeschool & Unschoolers ages 8-15 learn Math, Reading, and Grammar/Writing Skills.
You can give me a concept and an assignment that you need help with, and I will reteach it, and simplify it, so your child understands it. Or if you have a broad topic that your child needs work on, I can create a personalized lesson, tailored to meet your child’s needs. I can provide assignments or activities for your child to complete with me. (Some examples are grammar skills(nouns, adjectives, etc), writing a paragraph, or an essay.)

Hello! My name is Christian Adams.

I’m an experienced educator with over 20 years in teaching, including 10 years of tutoring children ages 8-15 in Math, Grammar & Writing, and Reading. 

For the past 5 years, I’ve been working with students online at Outschool, focusing on simplifying essential skills in a fun and engaging way.

I hold Bachelor’s Degrees in Elementary and Special Education and am a certified K-8 Florida Professional Teacher. My approach centers on creating a positive, relaxed learning environment where children feel comfortable asking for help. I’m dedicated to addressing all learning needs and styles because I believe every child can succeed.

I transitioned from the classroom to focus on my own tutoring business, which allows me to work one-on-one with students, helping them grow and achieve their goals. I specialize in tutoring homeschoolers and unschoolers aged 8-15 in Math, Reading, and Grammar/Writing, as well as offering after-school support for classroom students. My group classes, especially my book clubs, are always a hit.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, hiking, going to the beach, and coaching basketball. I’m passionate about making learning enjoyable and accessible, and I hope to see you in one of my private tutoring sessions soon!
