We will also begin to make text to self connections. Students will be using higher-order thinking skills in order to respond to challenges and open-ended questions related to the story Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library. They will also be improving skills related to responding to literature during this class.
I have been a teacher in brick-and-mortar schools for 30 years. During this time, I taught reading and hosted book clubs as both a teacher and a Library Media Specialist. The book does contain the theme of bullying. I am qualified to teach this theme as I am certified as a teacher of children with Emotional and Behavior Disorders. I spent the majority of my 30-year career teaching in this field.
