The Tiger Rising by Kate DiCamillo is a great story about friendship, growth, and trust. After his mother dies, Rob decides to pack away his grief. Rob and his father move to Florida, where Rob has a hard time fitting in. He soon meets a girl named Sistine who also struggles with adjusting to her new life in Florida. Kate Kate DiCamillo is one of my favorite authors. I love teaching with her books because she does a great job of helping the reader to learn important life lessons.

All other materials will be provided in the Outschool classroom. **PDF file of journal discussion questions will be attached to the classroom after our first meeting.
