I received a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Tulane University, and wrote my Honour's Thesis on funerary and mortuary practices throughout differing cultural groups, and how these practices relate to spirituality and religion. The myths and sacred stories of cultures help us understand a variety of aspects of their daily life, and the secular and anthropological study of all spiritual concepts is, in my view, essential to understanding what makes us a global community.

In addition, I have done fieldwork in Peru at Inca sites, and have personal experience with the cultural groups descended from this particular civilisation!

I am an archaeologist and anthropologist, and have worked extensively in this region, including multiple excavations in Peru, where I worked on sites involving human sacrifice.

Additionally, my advisor is the foremost expert in this region, with over two dozen published articles in academic journals such as the Cambridge Archaeological Journal, as well as the book “Embattled Bodies, Embattled Places: War in Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica and the Andes.”
