This self-paced course is designed for young artists who are looking to start their creative journey! It will provide a solid foundation for learners by starting with basic techniques that they will be able to apply to all their future creations. This course is for beginners, so no prior drawing experience is required! In this self-paced course learners will start at the beginning in order to get a thorough understanding of how to use their drawing materials. Each lesson will focus on using their materials to create different drawing techniques and textures. Each young artist will be encouraged to share their work in the classroom, or send it directly to me for encouragement and feedback. I will also post discussion questions that cover how and when to use new materials and drawing techniques in their future art work. Lesson videos will be approximately 30 minutes long, occasionally longer. Artists should spend at least an hour working on their homework per week.

In this lesson we will learn how to create a colour wheel! We will talk about Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary colours. This is another great tool for you to have in your back pocket - understanding how to mix colours is SUPER important in the artist world! レッスン 4:
Learn to Draw and Shade 3D Shapes
This lesson will focus on how to draw five 3D shapes - a cube, pyramid, triangular prism, cylinder, and a sphere. Learning how to draw 3-dimensional shapes helps us to draw all sorts of objects in everyday life. その他の情報

Artists will need a sketchbook, as well as drawing materials like a set of artist pencils, erasers, kneadable eraser, sharpener, blending stick, ruler, and pencil crayons (colouring pencils). Please feel free to reach out if you need any supply recommendations.
