Beginner - Intermediate レベル向け
This class is for learners who want to practice drawing animals, and making them look more realistic! Each week we use photo references to practice the skills of realistic drawing, shading, texture, and backgrounds. I demonstrate step-by-step how to draw a new animal each week, giving individual feedback along the way. My goal is not only to teach students how to draw a particular animal, but to help them practice the skills they need to draw anything they want! Students are encouraged...
Students will practice drawing from observation, shading, creating texture, and creating backgrounds with contrast and depth.
I have taught drawing for many years, and in my observation the most effective way to teach good drawing skills is to demonstrate them. Drawing together with my students gives me the perfect forum to illustrate drawing techniques while helping them to build the critical thinking and observational skills they need to continue working on their own. My goal is to build my students' skills and confidence as young artists!
An image will be provided for students for each week's drawing. This image will be viewed on screen during class. Students will need the following materials each week: Drawing paper (sketchbooks may be purchased from a variety of retailers for ~$10) Pencil & eraser (block eraser preferred) Optional materials (these will not be used every week, but some additional instruction may be provided): Drawing or fountain ink pen Colored pencils
