(HALLOWEEN SPECIAL!!)

In this fun and interactive camp, students will dive into some of the most iconic songs from the Descendants movies, all while leveling up their guitar, and ukulele skills while having fun doing some voice acting! Each week, we’ll tackle two exciting songs from the Descendants soundtrack, exploring new chords, rhythms, and techniques. Whether you're strumming on the ukulele, jamming on guitar, or playing both, this class is perfect for you. By the end, you’ll feel like you're right in the middle of Auradon and the Isle of the Lost!

This class is designed for advanced beginners to intermediate players who know basic chords and want to explore more complex strumming patterns, chord changes, and techniques. Together, we’ll make each song come alive with wickedly cool hammer-ons, fingerpicking, and syncopated rhythms, giving every tune that signature Descendants energy!

What Will Be Taught?

-Mastering new chord progressions and strumming patterns

-Developing smooth chord transitions and playing with rhythm

-Incorporating fingerpicking techniques for more variety

-Learning how to groove with syncopated rhythms and performance skills

Class Structure:

Each week, we’ll focus on two Descendants songs. I’ll guide students step-by-step through learning each song, starting with the basic structure and chords, then building in more advanced techniques like hammer-ons, syncopation, and fingerpicking.

 We’ll begin each class by reviewing the previous songs, followed by a live demo of the week’s new tunes. The rest of the session will be hands-on, with students playing along, asking questions, and practicing together. Toward the end, we’ll have time for a group jam where students can showcase what they've learned and play their favorite song from the camp!

How Will I Teach?

My teaching style is all about interaction, encouragement, and having fun! I’ll demonstrate each part of the songs clearly on both guitar and ukulele, breaking down the more complex elements so everyone feels comfortable. We’ll use a mix of discussion, live playing, and interactive games to keep the class lively and engaging. I love getting students involved, so there will be plenty of opportunities for participation and group play!

How Much Will Learners Interact with Me?

Students will get lots of attention during each class. I’ll guide everyone through the material and encourage questions and interaction throughout. Whether we’re working on strumming patterns, tricky chord changes, or performance tips, I’ll be there to support each student’s progress!

[REQUIRED] What You’ll Need:

A tuned guitar or ukulele (or both!)
Basic knowledge of chords and strumming patterns
Enthusiasm to rock out with some Descendants tunes!

Missed or no-show classes are not eligible for makeup classes or refunds. However, I’ll be happy to provide a recording of the class so you can catch up on what you missed! :)
