Hello Everyone! I am so excited to introduce your student to the guitar. This course is a basic course. No prior experience is necessary. We will meet for five days for one week for 55 minutes each day. We will first practice rhythm and switch between the different chords, and then play a song that uses the chords we learned. Overview of the schedule: Day#1: Parts of the Guitar, Basic Rythm, and Strum Patterns, Learn Basic C and G Day #2: Review Basic C, Learn more strum patterns, Learn F, play a song with 1-2 chords Day#3: Review chords, Learn Am, play a song with 2 - 3 chords Day#4: Bring everything that we learned together full circle, review rhythm, play 4 chord song Day #5: Play various pop songs using the four chords we learned. Depending on each individual class, students may be able to learn additional chords and material. You will actively be playing the guitar throughout the course. I will check for understanding throughout the lesson. This is a fun class. My teaching style is positive and encouraging. Prior to the class, please try to tune your guitar so that we have enough time to learn as much as we can in the time that we have.
