Tarea
1-2 horas por semana. Homework will be assigned weekly to help learners apply the concepts through various exercises. Additionally, there will be recording assignments to further enhance their practice and understanding.

Families may request a certificate of completion once the course has been successfully finished. This certificate serves as a formal acknowledgment of the learner’s participation and achievement, providing a tangible record of the skills and knowledge gained throughout the course.

Students will learn through lectures, readings, exercises, and listening assignments provided by the teacher. This is a live interactive online course limited to 3-6 students to ensure exclusivity and that each student receives the attention they need from the instructor. Students may email the instructor if there are any questions regarding the material in this course. The class time is structured according to the following topics as outlined in the Trinity College of Music. This section is designed for the young learner's pace. Supplementary materials will be provided for additional practice. The final meeting will consist of a mock exam where learners will be coached on how to take the practice exam for the Trinity College of Music: Grade 3 exam. Upon completion, the following class would be 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜: 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟒 (𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐲).

There will be listening and writing assignments will be due two days prior to the scheduled meeting to allow the instructor to provide timely feedback to the learner via the Outschool classroom. While the assignments are not mandatory, it is highly recommended to complete them to receive the best results from the course.

Learners will grasp essential music theory concepts, including scales, key signatures, time signatures, and rhythm, as a foundation for the Trinity College of Music exam.
Learners will improve their ability to analyze and interpret musical scores, preparing them for the exam's written and practical components.

Lección 1:
New Notes for Grade 3 in the Treble and Bass Clef
 Students will explore new notes for Grade 3 in both the treble and bass clefs, focusing on recognizing and identifying notes in different registers. Students will learn what register means in music, examining how pitch ranges impact musical texture and expression. Through quizzes and exercises, students will practice reading and writing these notes, reinforcing their understanding and preparing them for more advanced pieces.

Lección 2:
Note Values and Rests; Compound Time Signatures
 Students will review note values and rests with an emphasis on semiquavers and dotted quavers. Students will delve into compound time signatures, learning how to interpret and count these rhythms effectively. Exercises will help students practice recognizing, reading, and notating semiquavers and dotted quavers within compound time, building a solid rhythmic foundation for more complex pieces.

Lección 3:
Grouping of Notes and Rests in 6/8, 9/8, and 12/8 Time
 Students will learn the principles of grouping notes and rests in 6/8, 9/8, and 12/8 time signatures. Emphasis will be placed on understanding how beats are organized within these compound meters, with specific focus on grouping notes and rests correctly to enhance readability and rhythmic accuracy. Through targeted exercises, students will apply these concepts, reinforcing their understanding of compound time structures in music notation.

Lección 4:
Writing Your Own Tunes to a Given Rhythm
 Students will explore writing their own tunes by creating melodies to fit a given rhythm, focusing on selecting suitable instruments and their ranges. Students will study how to write effective and expressive melodies that complement the rhythm provided, with attention to pitch, phrasing, and musical expression. This exercise will build skills in melody composition while reinforcing understanding of instrumental ranges and melodic flow.
