Teoría musical avanzada para principiantes

This class is a wonderful way for your learner who has some understanding of music theory to continue their study of theory. Learner must know how to read notes in bass and treble and have an understanding of rhythm and time signatures clef prior to the start of this course. 

Curriculum:       
Class 1: Introduction to course, rhythm (eighth notes, sixteenth notes, triplets), ties and slurs
Class 2:  Half steps, whole steps, solfege, scale degrees
Class 3: Intervals, major scales
Class 4: Constructing a major scale & intervals part 2
Class 5: Key signatures and minor scales

We will approach music in an engaging and practical way that is great for learners at the advanced beginner level to build their knowledge of theory and their musicianship skills. The class will be taught in a combination of lecture, listening, aural learning, and discussion. This class is interactive and the learners are encouraged to actively participate in the aural skills and discussion part of the class.

Each class will consist of a review of previous material taught for reinforcement and each class will build upon the previous. Miss Brooke is very patient and is passionate about teaching music to her students. She aims to teach this course in an engaging and interesting way.
