In this ongoing Minecraft building class, students will explore the art of construction in Creative Mode, designing everything from small houses to large-scale cities. Each week, we will focus on a new theme or building technique, helping learners improve their creativity and attention to detail. Whether constructing medieval castles, modern skyscrapers, or entire villages, students will develop the skills to bring their ideas to life. The class is structured as a hands-on, interactive experience where students will build in real-time while receiving guidance and feedback. We’ll begin each session by discussing the weekly theme and brainstorming ideas. I’ll provide building tips and examples to inspire creativity before students jump into their projects. As they build, I’ll be actively engaged, offering advice, answering questions, and demonstrating techniques. At the end of each class, students will have the opportunity to showcase their work, receive constructive feedback, and gain inspiration from their classmates. My teaching style is supportive and interactive, encouraging students to experiment with different styles and improve their skills through practice. There will be no rigid step-by-step tutorials; instead, students will have the freedom to express their creativity while receiving expert guidance tailored to their needs. I will provide suggestions, help troubleshoot design challenges, and encourage collaboration and discussion throughout the class. Students will get to interact with me consistently during the session, whether through direct conversation, receiving feedback, or discussing design ideas. The goal is to create a fun and engaging environment where learners can improve their building abilities, gain confidence in their creativity, and enjoy the process of bringing their Minecraft worlds to life.
Learning Goals
Improve Building Skills – Learn to design and construct detailed structures in Creative Mode.
Understand Architectural Styles – Explore different building styles, from medieval to modern.

Parental Guidance
This class takes place in Minecraft, which is rated E10+ (Everyone 10 and up) by the ESRB for fantasy violence. Players may encounter in-game dangers such as hostile mobs (zombies, skeletons, creepers, etc.), lava, and environmental hazards, which could be mildly scary to some younger learners. There is no real-world danger, and all interactions occur within the game in a safe, private server.
Students will need a licensed copy of Minecraft: Java Edition or Bedrock Edition to participate. A private server will be used, ensuring a secure and controlled environment. No public servers or third-party interactions will be involved. Learners do not need to create additional accounts beyond their official Minecraft account.
Gamer Tag Requirement & Privacy Guidelines:
To join the private server, students will need to provide their gamer tag. To maintain privacy and comply with Outschool’s safety policies:
- Gamer tags must be sent via private message to the instructor.
- Students should NOT share their gamer tags in the classroom discussion area. Any public comments containing gamer tags will be removed for privacy protection.
- The private server will only be open during class hours. Students will not be able to access the server outside of scheduled sessions.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding privacy, gameplay, or technical requirements, please feel free to reach out before class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have extensive experience with Minecraft, having played the game for many years across both Survival and Creative modes. My time in the game has given me a deep understanding of its mechanics, from resource gathering and crafting to advanced building techniques and survival strategies. I have spent countless hours designing structures, exploring different biomes, and overcoming in-game challenges, which allows me to guide students through a fun and educational experience.
While I am new to teaching on Outschool, I have experience explaining Minecraft concepts and strategies to others, helping both new and experienced players improve their skills. My teaching approach focuses on hands-on learning, teamwork, and problem-solving, encouraging students to experiment, collaborate, and develop critical thinking skills through gameplay.
Additionally, I have experience in construction and building design in real life, which translates well into Minecraft's worldbuilding aspects. This background helps me teach students about structural design, planning, and resource management in a way that connects both digital and real-world problem-solving.
My goal is to create a welcoming and engaging space where students can learn through play, collaborate with their peers, and build confidence in their abilities. I look forward to bringing my passion for Minecraft into the classroom and helping students grow their skills while having fun!
