Tutoría de lectura para lectores disléxicos o con dificultades: intervención intensiva, 3 veces por semana

During our first lesson together, I will assess your student to decide the best level to start at. I will then develop a customized learning plan for your child. I recommend three-four times per week, as this has been shown to produce the best results. These are shortened, but highly effective lessons. While the approach I am using is very direct, if we don’t have fun in class, then your student won’t learn. A few techniques I use are memory hooks, continuous letter pathways, repetition, mental imagery reading (this helps so that kids don’t learn to read just by looking at pictures), echo reading, cloze reading, and voice-on reading. 

In using multi sensory approaches to learning, my tutoring will not only help reading abilities, but it will also strengthen spelling and writing abilities as well. We will also be working on reading comprehension and reading fluency. I work with ages 3 to 14, but can be flexible. It is never too early to start structured literacy with young learners. The earlier a student receives intervention, the more effective it’s going to be.

This approach works best when parent and tutor are in communication about the goals for the child and the progress.
