Revisión completa del plan de estudios de matemáticas de octavo grado en 25 semanas. Se reúne 2 veces por semana.

Following is the list of concepts I generally come across for the Grade 8 level. Based on the learner's need we would tweak the list as well. 


1. Indices and Standard form or number. 
2. Money and Finance: Simple Interest and Compound Interest. 
3. Money and Finance: Profit and Loss 
4. Algebraic Representation and manipulations: Expansion, Factorization, Substitution, transformation (make x the subject of formulae) 
5. Algebraic Indices - review of laws of powers and exponents. 
6. Solve linear Equations and construct the linear equation for a given word problem. 
7. Simultaneous equation solution. 
8. Graph of linear functions. 
9. Geometrical construction. Perpendicular Bisector, Angle Bisector 

Next Class (Semester 2) will cover the remaining topics 
10. Angle Properties of Quadrilateral 
11. Angle properties of Polygons
12. Mensuration - unit conversion 
13. Area and Perimeter of compound Shapes. 
14. Volume. 
15. Coordinate Geometry. 
16. Gradient and Equation of a straight line. 
17. Student to bring their own topic. Recap as requested/extra practice 
18. Recap and final summary/ Extra Practic Questions 

A few practice questions will be done in class. A lot more practice questions will be given as homework. Learners are requested to submit the homework within a day using the OS messaging system. Feedback for the same will be provided. If there is any other topic that learners like to include in the above list, we can surely try and accommodate given how much time we have.  The class gives the best results if 2 kids take it together.
