In this course, we will learn the signs used to talk about member of a family as well as the rooms in a home. This is an interactive course. Students will be encouraged to participate with each other and the teacher and relate the new vocabulary words to their every day lives. Learners will be able to use sentences to discuss the people in their family and things in their homes.

Metas de aprendizaje

We will work to improve each students range of vocabulary. Students will be challenged with games to improve their expressive and receptive skills. I will introduce phrases to speak about the member of their family the places and things in their home.

Hello!
My name is Teacher Stephanie and I am so excited to be a part of Outschool. I look forward to meeting your child and sharing my knowledge in various subjects. The areas which I'm most passionate about are Language (American Sign Language) and Behavioral Science. I have both an Associate's and Bachelor's degree in American Sign Language Interpreting as well as Health Care Management. I currently work as a behavioral therapist while pursing my Master's Degree in ABA with a focus on Autism. I have experience teaching students from across the globe and I love connecting and learning about their cultures. I believe in the power of learning through scaffolding and visual representation. Everyone is capable of learning something new as long as they are willing to put in the effort. I like to have fun in the classroom and relate subjects to student's lives in order to keep them engaged and excited about learning. When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and 6 year-old son. I enjoy partaking in sports and outdoor activities, cooking and traveling.
