¡Feliz día de San Valentín, ratoncito! - Cuentos y manualidades para niños con la señorita Tiffany

Students will learn reading skills, listening skills, art skills. They will practice cutting, coloring, and gluing. Some assistance might be needed from parents for smaller learners as they complete a craft with the class.  Students will listen to me read them a book called Happy Valentine's Day, Mouse by Laura Numeroff.  I will share the pictures from the book then I will show the children how to complete a simple fun Valentine's Day craft project step by step. We will be making a Mouse head out of hearts, Then a Valentine's Day card. 

Students are encouraged to talk during art time and interact with each other for social skills.

No background knowledge is required as I will be reading the story.  It would be helpful if the children are familiar with using children's scissors and glue for craft time.  Some parent assistance may be needed during craft time if not.  Progress is evaluated by their level of excitement for the story and craft!!  Students are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal or favorite toy to class for a short show and tell when we go around the room and introduce ourselves.
