Welcome! Do you have a passion for or an interest in the environment? Then come and join us as we walk through the history and impact of Earth Day! Some of the topics that will be covered in this one time class are: *Discuss the origins of the holiday and how the environmental movements of the 1960's and 1970's created awareness to how it changed throughout the 70's-80's and then went global in 1990. *Walk through the 2000's and discuss how the holiday evolved as technology and awareness was changing in the new century. *Learn about different celebrations and how people around the world view this holiday. *Discuss, share, and learn about different things that we do to reduce, reuse, and recycle to lessen our imprint on earth.

Learners will explore the history of environmentalism and conservation and share ideas on how to make an impact in their own lives.

In this class, we will be discussing pollutants and waste that has affected the environment. All discussions will be at an age appropriate level.
There may be some Youtube videos that are seen during this class. I will share my screen and learners will not need to access them on their own.
