***Some students prefer not to use paint and that's perfectly fine, join us with your crayons, colored pencils, and markers.

Students will use permanent markers and watercolor paint or markers to make a new zentangle-style design each week.  The atmosphere will be social and relaxing with a warm and engaging teacher. A color wheel will be used as a tool to teach analogous and complementary colors. If desired, students can add an inspirational quote to their art. Bring riddles and other artwork that you have done to share with the class. ***BONUS*** Create and share your own doodle designs to add to the class doodle chart.

We take time at the end of each class to share our artwork, ask questions, and give compliments. If your child is not comfortable sharing they will be given the opportunity to pass. 

The teacher always emphasizes the importance of respect and good manners. My goal is to build a welcoming, engaging, and educational community of learners. I'm sure students will be thrilled to know that there will be times when THEY get to choose what we are going to doodle the next week!  

Since this is an ongoing class, each class stands on its own so you are not required to attend every week.  You can start and stop your subscription to suit your schedule!

Parent Review June 4, 2021:  My 8-year-old looks forward to this class every week. Judy is great at guiding the class to paint or draw based on the theme that week. She also does a good job of letting the kids chat and facilitating the conversation.
