Campamento de arte, poesía y naturaleza con flores silvestres, primera parte

Esta clase se centrará en la belleza que se encuentra en la naturaleza. Los estudiantes observarán y luego aprenderán a dibujar, pintar y escribir poesía sobre flores silvestres. Espero que esta clase anime a los estudiantes a viajar y apreciar la belleza de la naturaleza.

Experiencia de clase

Imagine that it's a sunny summer day and you arrive at your destination to hike with your family or friends. As you walk and talk, you are amazed by the beautiful views surrounding you. It's wildflower season and you feel compelled to stop at every turn to take pictures of the gorgeous flowers. This is what it's like when I'm hiking and I'd like to share that experience with you.

Judy will show the students photos and videos of flowers from hikes she's taken in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains, along the Pacific Ocean in California, and in Europe, specifically Spain and Iceland. During this four-day camp, we will make two paintings and write two poems inspired by amazing wildflowers.

On the first and third days of class, students will use acrylics and watercolors to paint lavender, periwinkle, pink lupines, red poppies, blue flax, and other wildflowers. Our poetry days will consist of lessons on how to use nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and descriptive phrases to write acrostic and haiku poems based on the student's very own wildflower artwork and their life experience.I will be available to help with spelling and tips on art supply usage.

Day 1 We will look at photos of tall pink, purple, and blue lupines then acrylic paint to make a detailed painting.
Day 2 We will work together on an acrostic poem about lupines.
Day 3 We will look at photos the teacher took of wildflowers on her hikes then use Sharpies and watercolors to make a beautiful piece of art.
Day 4 We will use words we've gathered all week to write a haiku poem about our Day 3 wildflower project.

**If your student needs accommodations, please let me know and we will work together to ensure that they have the best possible class experience.**
