Teen Procreate: Draw, Paint, Shade & Style Digital Art | All Levels Welcome

This friendly, fun class explores a variety of techniques, styles and subjects each week by encouraging experimentation with a new weekly prompt! 

Learners are guided in art fundamentals like observational skills, drawing, color palettes, line weight and style, lighting, shadow, shading, perspective, foreshortening, texture and more. 

Each week is different, and provides a steady practice that builds over time into confidence and trusted intuition that encourages experimenting, customizing so each learner can learn at their own pace.

Each week offers fresh challenges and steady practice, encouraging experimentation and customization. Over time, learners build confidence and develop trusted artistic intuition, progressing at their own pace.

This class is perfect for learners with a solid foundation in drawing fundamentals. No prior Procreate experience is required—just a willingness to learn as we go at a moderately faster pace than beginner classes.

✨By trying and practicing a variety of techniques, learners will develop their own style and begin to trust their intuition as their visual vocabulary expands!

✨We focus on learning and process, so most classes will not end with a “finished” piece. Instead, students will build and practice the tools and techniques needed to continue with the piece between classes!

✨ You can join anytime. We work step-by-step each class to begin to create something new in Procreate so learners can follow along, and when  they feel comfortable more advanced students can work at their own pace.

What to Expect in a Typical Art Class 🎨✨
1️⃣ Welcome & Art Sharing – Kick off the session by sharing and admiring artwork created throughout the week. Get inspired by fellow artists!
2️⃣ Reference of the Week – Observe, analyze, and make creative choices based on a selected reference. Learn how to use references effectively in your sketches.
3️⃣ Step-by-Step Instruction & Experimentation – Follow guided steps to build skills, with plenty of time for hands-on practice, experimenting, and asking questions.
4️⃣ Feedback & Sharing (Optional) – Get constructive feedback in a supportive space. Sharing is always optional—no pressure, just encouragement!

Supplies:
1. An ipad with Procreate already installed and ready to use. 
2. A stylus/apple pencil is recommended, but not necessary.
3. Another device to log into class is recommended.

Students must have the digital drawing app Procreate.
