In this ongoing class, preschool and early elementary students will meet once a week to discuss an assigned book that they have read either independently or with a grownup during the week. The teacher will facilitate a discussion by asking both comprehension and imaginative questions to help extend the students reading! When we are finished with our discussion we will begin a craft inspired by the book that we read that week. Students are welcome to drop in at any time. Each lesson is a stand alone book discussion and craft.

Hello to Everyone! My name is Miss Meghan and I can’t wait to meet your child. I enjoy teaching a variety of classes for preschool and early elementary ages.

I hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. At the beginning of my career, I worked extensively with children with autism in home settings designing programs to help students access the world around them in an empowering way. After my oldest daughter was born, I became a licensed childcare provider creating a home away from home for many children to grow and learn. When my youngest daughter was born, I decided it was time to explore other options and that is how I landed at Outschool. I am so grateful for this opportunity and love meeting new learners from all over the world.

I have a passion for instilling a love of learning in young children through exposure, messy play, and fun! I strongly believe that letting children delve into learning at their own level and allowing for different types of learning styles sets children up for a life long learning journey.

In addition to teaching on Outschool, I also homeschool my two daughters who are my pride and joy. I feel so grateful to have a career that I love that also affords me the opportunity to spend time with my own children as well. In my free time, I enjoy art, brainstorming new lesson ideas, cross stitch, and reading!

I offer science, art, language arts, social studies, math, and social classes for preschool and kindergarten age groups, as well as social groups for neurodivergent! Please feel free to message me with any questions!
