Scaffolding and informal discussion/critique of workExperiencia de clase
This group workshop allows learners to meet as a group and connect with each other. Within the supportive community of teacher and peers, students can refine their skills discussing their own work as well as giving and receiving both positive and constructive "critique" with the other students, using the language of photography. Learners will complete quarterly portfolio reviews, participate in skill shares, set creative goals, and explore personal projects and visual concepts. 📷 Class Goals for Learners ✳️ To practice the skill of articulating a technical critique of photographs, through a content/form/concept lens. ✳️ To connect with like-minded students and create a supportive community. 📷 Special Events ✳️ Skill Share Once or twice a year, you will have an opportunity to share a particular project or approach to photography that you have explored in-depth with the class. ✳️ Peer Mentoring There may be opportunities to act as a peer mentor for younger students with class projects, in order to explore your own skills and process in instruction, facilitating discussions, and offering feedback, with my guidance. This may involve helping lead peer critique in their classes, or designing and leading a lesson yourself.

Orientación para padres
Some photographers and/or photo theorists who we learn about may have photography work or analysis that involves nudity and themes of sexuality, much like you might encounter in an exhibit at an art museum or in fashion photography. We will not explore these in class, but there is the possibility that students come upon them during further research.
