Orientación para padres
The short story "The Most Dangerous Game" involves characters hunting one another in the jungle, which may be alarming for some. The short story is typically taught because it offers excellent examples of setting, how setting sets the mood in the story, strong vocabulary, and elements of suspense. The short story "The Veldt" takes place in the future when a "smart house" becomes a little too smart and starts attacking the family that lives there. The short story is typically taught as an example of science fiction and also offers lessons on imagery, figurative language, and irony.
