Class Experience

Reading, Writing Tutoring 1:1

One-on-one reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, phonics, language arts, ELL and ESL tutoring. Also help with homework , writing projects, conversational English and test prep.

Your learner can receive one-on-one tutoring for standardized tests and any other instruction

Get help from a subject teacher with more than 10 years of teaching and tutoring English as a second language and to international learners. She has also taught English language arts and writing privately, in small groups, subject classes and individual private sessions. The teacher also has experience working with special needs students and is trained in the Collegiate learning method, which encourages students to adopt college level reading, writing and study skills early.

This ongoing tutoring class also provides more than individualized instruction. Drawing on her skills with special needs learners, the instructor will assist your learner with reading, writing and general elementary homework. Learners may also receive conversational English help. Please email before registering your child so that the instructor may prepare materials for your young learner. If you're able to share some of your learner's English language arts background before class, it will help make these sessions more effective and beneficial.

Helpful information to provide:

1. What academic goals do you have for your child?
2. What is your main goal for these sessions? (homework help, classwork help, review, school prep, test prep, writing improvement, spoken/ written English etc.)
3. What is the grade of the child? Does your child need any learning accommodations? Do you have an IEP?
4. What topics or incentives does your child like?
